At CES 2020, the world's largest home appliance expo, which opened on the 7th (local time) in Las Vegas, USA, the self-playing AI band RIMA (hereinafter referred to as RIMA) announced its start by capturing the attention of government officials and overseas companies.
Active networking took place throughout the booths, with people showing positive and amazed reactions to innovative new technologies that will bring big changes to the field of music AI, such as asking technical questions or exchanging information about products and companies.
Young foreigners who handle musical instruments also showed great interest and expressed attachment to the company and product. One guitar musician from Spain even expressed high expectations that if they could play with RIMA, it would greatly broaden the boundaries of music for a solo performer.
If RIMA is applied to the entertainment business, Emotionwave's built-in AI music engine will listen to, analyze, correct, and evaluate the performer's playing to suggest creating new rhythms and melodies, minimizing the effort in preparing performances and maximizing the potential for audience attraction and emotional impact.
This is not only planned as a tool for experts or musicians but also as a music game platform that can provide fun and emotion practically and easily based on tens of thousands of existing music databases and performance capabilities to general users.
Meanwhile, representatives from the Korea Association for ICT Promotion (KAIT) and Changwon City Hall, and representatives from the Gyeonggi Contents Agency also visited RIMA's booth, showing interesting reactions to the new era that AI music will change by touching the product and listening to explanations, making RIMA's activities during CES 2020 even more noteworthy.
