Emotionwave, which leads in AI and XR technology, presents a new immersive SF play called AI-CON with Brush Theater. This performance will be held at Daegyo Traumvelte from December 20 to December 29, 2024.
AI-CON depicts a journey that guides the audience onto the royal space cruise ship "Royal Space Hall" to witness the explosive spectacle of the Ismena star. This story, centered around the stowaway Lila and her companions, is filled with suspense, emotion, and the harmony of cutting-edge technology.
Notably, this performance takes place in an 'immersive theater' format where the audience can participate as part of the story rather than simply observing. It showcases the convergence of art and technology by combining live actors, AI characters, and real-time interaction elements.
Emotionwave will showcase the main characters, 'Lila' and 'Gaiopyg', realized with AIMPLE digital human technology. It provides artificial intelligence interactive experiences, augmented reality (AR), and digital humans to enable seamless interaction for the audience.
Furthermore, Emotionwave operates a concert zone in the on-site lobby to maximize the immersion of the performance. From 20 minutes before the show starts, audiences can experience an interactive exhibition combining augmented reality and AI technology through characters and digital humans, immersing them in the AI-CON world.
Park Sung-hyun, Director at Emotionwave, stated, "I am pleased that we can provide unprecedented immersive experiences to the audience through AI technology," adding, "This AI-CON presents a new form of entertainment that fuses technology and art and holds great significance for overseas expansion to disseminate IPs and works."
AI-CON is the result created together by a consortium consisting of Emotionwave, Brush Theater, and Twigfarm. Emotionwave has provided digital humans and character content through AI and XR technology while offering supplementary experiences in offline spaces through its concert zone; Brush Theater has given audiences deep immersion with sensory and original plays. Twigfarm handles the connection between the audience and the work by allowing real-time communication through the AI-CON mobile app using generative artificial intelligence technology. Their collaboration is establishing itself as a model case demonstrating the perfect fusion of art and technology.
