Emotionwave Conducts Closed Beta Test of Online Virtual Broadcasting System 'Stagecloud'
- Conducting Stage Cloud Beta Test, a Prototype Service Model Applying Streaming Technology Based on CPS-based Online Virtual Broadcasting System
Emotionwave has conducted the Stagecloud beta service, which is the result of creating a prototype based on technology from a research and development project that ran for one year starting in 2014.
The features of the Stage Cloud service are designed so that various stakeholders of a production—such as broadcasting, performances, or movies—can share their opinions and directing plans online using web media based on chatting, 3D objects, video streaming, etc., and through this, they can perform predictions and simulations regarding the resulting media online.
Furthermore, it has the advantage that a mixed reality production can be conducted in a more realistic and vivid way, configured through authorship tools running on 4K resolution and chroma key compositing software, where actual actors can be directed in virtual spaces. A major advantage is that various stakeholders of participating productions (directors, writers, planners, investors, etc.) can communicate in real-time from one screen through video and chat with each other.
Therefore, the beta test results were successful, and they successfully completed tests with 15 media production participants and on both 1080p (FHD) and 2160p (UHD).
