The Excellent R&D Innovative Product Designation System is a system where a company's product is designated after deliberation on publicness, innovativeness, etc., for the improvement of public services and technological innovation. Products finally designated as innovative products are scheduled to be registered on the innovative procurement platform 'Innovation Market,' and after registration is complete, they will be eligible for negotiated contracts for 3 years.
Innovative products are divided into FT1, FT2, and FT3, and MEW, which was designated this time, has been designated as FT1. FT1 refers to a product that recognizes technological innovativeness according to standards and procedures set by the head of each central administrative agency in consultation with the Minister of Economy and Finance, based on R&D results performed by central administrative agencies.
Regarding the innovative product designation of MEW this time, Jo Seung-hyun CSO of Emotionwave said, "Based on this innovative product designation, we will promote the introduction of MEW to many public education institutions so that high-quality music education can be received by people of all ages and genders." He added, "I hope that cultural poverty gaps will decrease even a little bit by providing high-quality music education to culture-vulnerable groups who cannot receive proper music education due to their residential or economic environment."
