On the 14th, Emotionwave announced that it has completed patent registration after receiving patent rights for the 'Artificial intelligence-based instrument performance assistance system and method' [Patent Application No. 10-2020-0156177].The artificial intelligence instrument service provision system, which has completed patent registration, is a registered patent for research and development technology of an immersive music education system applying AI robotics instrument performance technology, which was the world's first. This invention provides an artificial intelligence-based instrument performance assistance system and method that not only provides practice songs according to the tastes of the instrument learning user but also provides feedback on how well the user performed when playing those practice songs.
Emotionwave successfully registered a patent for a system that responds in real time to a music education system by applying deep learning models such as CNN, LSTM, FNN, and RNN, which were not previously applied to instrument performance assistance systems. It is expected that an AI-created and directly performed music education system will provide greater convenience and professionalism to the existing music education environment.
This technology is a research and development achievement that Emotionwave has been conducting since 2019, as the main institution selected for a technology development project supported by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups.
Emotionwave plans to apply this system and technology to 'mew Music Place' in the future to carry out domestic and international businesses based on strong patented technology.
A company official said, "At this crucial time when we have successfully completed various tests for education, creation, and appreciation of the artificial intelligence instrument service provision system, and equipped it with a deep learning engine, and are entering the music and entertainment market in earnest, by completing patent registration for an AI-based instrument performance assistance system and method for B2C and B2B, we have also established business protection measures." He added that "we are solidifying our position as the industry leader by significantly widening the technology gap with latecomers."
Furthermore, they added that "Emotionwave will devise ways to apply this technology to a metaverse and NFT content-linked education and performance platform to secure new platform technological competitiveness."
