Emotionwave, an AI music tech company, announced that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with MagicLab, a global embodied intelligence (Embodied AI) and humanoid robot technology company, for global business cooperation based on AI music and robotics technology.
This agreement was established to jointly develop next-generation AI robot performance systems and immersive interactive experiences by combining Emotionwave's AI music generation technology, the robotic instrument platform 'RIMA', and digital performance platform with MagicLab's humanoid robot platform and embodied intelligence technology.
MagicLab is a global robotics company that promotes R&D and industrial application of general-purpose humanoid robots and embodied intelligence technology. Through this collaboration, Emotionwave plans to expand intelligent robot solutions applicable in various fields such as performances, exhibitions, cultural content, and commercial spaces by linking its music AI, robotic instrument, and digital performance technologies with humanoid robot technology.
The two companies agreed to seek strategic cooperation in areas such as AI-based robot performance systems, integrated technology of humanoid robots and robotic instruments, robot-human interaction technology, creative AI and cultural robotics experiences, and intelligent robot solutions for the global market. Furthermore, they plan to jointly pursue joint research, global exhibitions and tech demos, pilot projects, and overseas market business development.
In particular, this agreement is significant as it is a result of Emotionwave's proactive outbound business development activities aimed at expanding into the global market. Emotionwave plans to materialize a new business model combining 'AI Music - Robot Performance - Immersive Content' by connecting its music technology capabilities, centered on the existing AI music platform 'MUTA' and robotic instrument 'RIMA', with a global robotics company.
