Emotionwave and EL TV co-produce AI-powered ultra-immersive K-Food documentaries, accelerating their push into the global content market Global market…
Emotionwave, an AI infrastructure company, is partnering with EL TV (CEO Baek Heon-seok), a production company specializing in food content, to co-produce ultra-immersive K-Food documentaries using artificial intelligence (AI) and immersive media technologies, and to expand into the global content market.
The partnership combines proven K-Food content IP with AI-powered immersive media technology to extend content traditionally centered on broadcast and OTT into a range of industries, including exhibitions, experiences and tourism, and to create new business opportunities in global markets.
The two companies' global expansion plan builds on overseas market development that began in Dubai and Canada in 2025. In the first half of 2026, Emotionwave and EL TV agreed in Los Angeles on a shared direction for producing and globally commercializing AI-based ultra-immersive content, and that agreement has now taken shape as an actual co-production.
Founded in 2005, EL TV is a food content production company that has produced the "Rhapsody" series, including Samgyeopsal Rhapsody, Hanwoo Rhapsody and Naengmyeon Rhapsody, as well as the "Nation of Flavors" series, including A Nation of Kimchi, A Nation of Banchan and A Nation of Broth.
Its productions have featured widely recognized figures such as Paik Jong-won, Huh Young-man, Ryu Soo-young and Mimi of OH MY GIRL, and have brought the history and cultural value of Korean food to audiences in Korea and abroad through major platforms including Netflix and KBS.
EL TV's Nation of Flavors series is a large-scale food documentary project that filmed 225 dishes across 35 regions of Korea in 4K, and it has proven its competitiveness by reaching Netflix's Top 5 in South Korea.

Emotionwave will combine this production expertise with its own AI infrastructure and immersive media technologies. By applying AI-based video processing, upscaling, spatial expansion and immersive video conversion to high-quality original footage, the goal is to render the texture and color of food, the movement of the cooking process and the atmosphere of each location more vividly than ever.
Ramyeon Rhapsody Premiering in 2027 with an Experiential Expo: Extending K-Food Content Online and Offline
In connection with Ramyeon Rhapsody, the seventh installment of its K-Food "Rhapsody" series scheduled for release in February 2027, EL TV plans to hold the "Ramyeon Rhapsody Expo" (working title) in the first half of 2027.

The expo is planned as a content-driven event that brings the history, culture, industrial value and many stories of Korean ramyeon covered in the documentary Ramyeon Rhapsody into a physical space.
Through exhibitions and hands-on programs, visitors will be able to see, taste and experience the history of Korean ramyeon, its manufacturing and cooking culture, and a variety of related products and content. By letting audiences experience in person the stories told on screen, the expo aims to convey the appeal of K-Food in a more multidimensional way.
By linking broadcast content with offline experiences, the expo is notable as a content business model in which a single K-Food IP expands beyond broadcast and OTT into exhibitions, experiences and cultural tourism.
The two companies are also exploring how AI and immersive media technologies can be applied to this direction of content expansion. By upgrading high-quality video content for a variety of immersive media environments, they aim to evolve K-Food from content people simply watch into content they experience firsthand.
From Dubai and Canada to LA: Expanding into Six Markets on a Foundation of Global Partnership
The two companies plan to develop the project beyond a single documentary production into a joint business model for global content commercialization.
They have selected six countries with strong demand for K-Content (the United States, France, Mexico, Vietnam, Chile and Brazil) as key target markets, and will pursue joint marketing and sales activities there.
By combining EL TV's K-Food content IP and experience in global broadcast and OTT distribution with Emotionwave's AI infrastructure, immersive media technology and overseas business network, the partners will seek joint business opportunities with broadcast and OTT platforms, content distributors, cultural institutions, tourism and exhibition operators, and immersive media operators in each country.
Broadcast content such as Ramyeon Rhapsody and its linked experiential event model are expected to serve as content assets that broaden opportunities for collaboration with local partners overseas.
Their strategy is to improve market accessibility through localization tailored to each country's content consumption environment and platform characteristics, conversion into immersive content formats, and international co-production and distribution partnerships.
Going beyond simply exporting content produced in Korea, the companies plan to build an integrated global business model that connects AI-based content enhancement, joint local marketing and sales, global distribution and experiential content businesses.
From "Watching K-Food" to "Experiencing K-Food": Expanding into the Global Media Market
The ultra-immersive K-Food content the two companies are developing goes beyond the conventional broadcast and OTT viewing experience and is designed for a wide range of media environments, including XR/VR, large-scale media walls, ultra-high-resolution displays and immersive exhibitions.
By expressing the color and texture of food, the movement of the cooking process and the atmosphere of each location in a more three-dimensional way, the content will allow viewers around the world to experience Korean food and food culture more immersively.
In addition, through the expo linked to Ramyeon Rhapsody, which connects broadcast with offline experiences, the partners will broaden the scope of their content IP and explore expansion into a variety of industries, including global K-Culture events, international expos, tourism and cultural facilities, hotels and resorts, and F&B venues.
From K-Food to K-Culture: Expanding a Global Content Business Built on AI Infrastructure
Starting with this co-production, the two companies will also pursue applying AI-based ultra-immersive media technology beyond K-Food to a range of K-Content fields, including music, performance, tourism, and culture and the arts.
Emotionwave plans to further develop its AI infrastructure business model, which supports the global commercialization of Korean content producers through AI-based video processing, content enhancement and format optimization for global platforms.
"The global market development that began in Dubai and Canada in 2025 and our collaboration in Los Angeles in 2026 have led to an actual co-production of AI-based ultra-immersive content," said an Emotionwave official. "By combining EL TV's proven K-Food content production capabilities with Emotionwave's AI infrastructure technology, we will create new business opportunities in the global market."
The official added, "We are paying close attention to how content IP is expanding beyond broadcast into a variety of industries, as with the experiential expo linked to Ramyeon Rhapsody. Together, the two companies will pursue joint marketing and sales in key markets including the United States, France, Mexico, Vietnam, Chile and Brazil, and build a global AI content business model that can be applied across K-Content, starting with K-Food."
Going forward, the two companies will pursue global distribution and local commercialization of their co-produced content, while continuing to advance a next-generation K-Content production and supply model powered by AI and immersive media technologies.
