The Gyeongnam Culture and Arts Promotion Agency (hereinafter referred to as the Agency) will hold a conference for the development of Gyeongnam's contents industry.
The Agency announced that it will host the Contents Industry Conference over two days, on the afternoon of the 12th and 13th, at the Unicorn Hall on the 6th floor of the Gyeongnam Creative Economy Innovation Center.
On the 12th, with the theme 'Exploring ways for mutual growth in Gyeongnam's cultural industry,' plans for building provincial cultural industry infrastructure and achieving mutual growth through government-academia cooperation will be discussed. It is expected that regional response measures to prepare for the rapidly changing cultural industry ecosystem will be covered, including establishing a cooperative network between the Agency and local universities.
The conference on this day will begin with a presentation by Professor Lee Byeong-hoon of the Culture Techno Department at Changwon University titled 'Exploring Industry-Academia-Government Cooperation Models for Maker Culture Diffusion,' followed by presentations such as Professor Nam Sang-hoon of the Culture Techno Department at Changwon University on 'Trends and Latest Issues in Immersive Media Contents' and Professor Yoo Young-jae of the Department of Cultural Contents at Kyungnam University on 'Content One Campus Cases.'
The comprehensive discussion following the theme presentations will be chaired by Professor Jang Won-chul of the Department of Convergence Culture at Gyeongsang National University, who will discuss topics such as building provincial cultural industry infrastructure and mutual growth through industry-academia-government cooperation with the panelists who presented earlier. Following this, opinions from attendees present on site will be heard freely.
The conference on the 13th was held to strengthen the role of the Agency, designated by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Creative Content Agency, as a content industry hub institution for creating a technology-manufacturing-content convergence industry ecosystem in Gyeongnam, and to seek development strategies for the content industry specialized in Gyeongnam.
Following presentations on content industry technology convergence trend trends (Presenter, Kim Jun-seop Director of K-Arts Edu, Korea National University of Arts), support policies for creating a technology-manufacturing-content convergence ecosystem in the western Gyeonggi area (Kim Jun-hee Manager of Siheung Industry Promotion Agency), and case studies from content startups that developed robotics performance solutions combining robots and AI (Rio Jang, CEO of Emotionwave Arts), public and private sector stakeholders gathered to hold a panel discussion on 'Roles and linkage measures for the public, private, industry, and academia in creating a technology-manufacturing-content convergence ecosystem.'
Anyone interested in Gyeongnam's content business can participate through on-site or advance registration. For pre-registration and related inquiries about the conference, please contact the Gyeongnam Culture and Arts Promotion Agency Content Enterprise Incubation Center at 055-230-8613.
