Emotionwave, an AI infrastructure company led by CEO Jang Soon-chul, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with UK-based JS Holdings Group for the global commercialization of AI infrastructure and K-Culture platforms, launching a strategic partnership to enter the European market.

The agreement brings together Emotionwave's AI infrastructure technology and JS Holdings Group's local business capabilities and network in the UK, with the aim of applying AI technology to a wide range of culture and content industries and jointly expanding a global platform business.

Built on its in-house AI infrastructure solution, AIMPLE, Emotionwave provides the technology environment that companies and industries need to build and operate AI services, including AI model operation, computing resource management, service deployment and API integration. On this basis, the company is driving AI transformation (AX) and service expansion across industries such as content, media, games and entertainment.

Headquartered in the UK, JS Holdings Group runs Korean culture businesses including K-Food and K-POP, and operates a local business network that includes K-Playground, a multi-purpose cultural space in London. The two companies plan to combine these business foundations and technological capabilities to jointly develop new AI-based culture and content services and a global distribution platform.

Key areas of cooperation include: building and jointly commercializing a B2B platform linked to global K-Culture distribution channels; developing a B2C platform based on the K-Culture community; establishing an industry-academia network involving universities, institutions and experts worldwide; collaborating on overseas pop-ups, exhibitions and sales for Korean companies through the UK local network; and building an AI infrastructure and global business hub with phased expansion.

In particular, the two companies will review how AI technologies for content creation and management, service operation and platform expansion can be applied on top of Emotionwave's AIMPLE AI infrastructure, while identifying real service demand and commercialization opportunities through JS Holdings Group's local business network.

Using the UK as their base for business in Europe, the partners will also define AI service supply and platform operation models, and gradually explore expanding into the construction and operation of local AI infrastructure as business demand grows.

The partnership is significant in that it combines AI infrastructure technology with a local industry network to strengthen the competitiveness of both companies' existing businesses and to jointly open up new global markets.

“AI infrastructure is a core foundational technology that supports innovation across a wide range of services and businesses, not just a single industry,” said an Emotionwave representative. “By combining JS Holdings Group's local business capabilities in the UK with Emotionwave's AI infrastructure technology, we will uncover new growth opportunities for the K-Culture industry and, building on that, expand the scope of our cooperation in the European market.”

The two companies will discuss specific joint business models and execution plans, and will pursue, step by step and starting with the UK, a global business that merges AI infrastructure with the culture and content industries.
