Emotionwave Co., Ltd. (CEO Jang Soon-chul) announced on the 23rd that it has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding with Wonheum (singer of Norazo), JJ MUSIC (CEO Ichika, 1CHIKA), and the K-POP Department at Kukje University to jointly plan and operate a global K-POP audition and K-Culture tourism business.
The agreement was made with △ Wonheum, singer of Norazo, △ CRY$TAR (Jeon Su-jeong, Director of External Cooperation at Seoul Performing Arts High School), who is an idol producer and K-POP expert consultant, △ 1CHIKA (Jeon Young-ki, CEO of JJ MUSIC), a former participant in Boys Planet, and Professor Choi Yong-seon from the K-POP Department at Kukje University. It is expected to play a practical role in building infrastructure for global auditions and training related to K-POP as it approaches the year 2027-2029, which will be a new Korean tourism year.
This agreement was established to build a cooperative system for jointly promoting an integrated K-Culture business model that proceeds from global auditions (selection) for prospective global K-POP artists and those wishing to study Korean K-Culture, through education (training and consulting), training (tourism-linked educational programs), and content and IP expansion.
In particular, this year, it is predicted that the number of beneficiaries will exceed approximately 10,000 people by sequentially conducting global auditions centered on East Asia starting in May, global conferences and online consulting for K-Culture trainees and international students, K-Culture training and educational programs in Korea, and global K-POP audition broadcasts.
Emotionwave plans to utilize AI-based platforms such as the AI Agent platform SERO AI, the global fandom platform FANZ, and the global audition platform STAGE CLOUD through this project to establish a specialized communication channel for global K-Culture and to expand the industry by leveraging existing educational infrastructure in domestic universities and academies, as well as over 1,000 professional educators.
Jo Seung-hyun CSO of Emotionwave stated, “Through this agreement, we plan to materialize a new global business model combining K-POP auditions and K-Culture training tourism, and contribute to the spread of global K-Culture and the revitalization of Korean tourism by building a stable operating system with our partner institutions.”
