Sosan Seowon Unattended Performance Site
[Siheung=Newsis] Reporter Park Seok-hee = Apparently, Siheung City, Gyeonggi Province announced on the 30th that 'Emotionwave Arts,' a professional arts group, will debut the 'Korean Traditional Music Mechatronics' concert—the world's first concert created and performed by artificial intelligence (AI)—on the 'Eco-Culture City Siheung' YouTube channel at 6 PM on the 1st.
It will be introduced for the second time through the Korean Traditional Music Broadcasting TV's 'Culture n Empathy' program on October 16th.
This performance was selected in the '2020 Siheung City Culture and Arts Group Activity Support Contest' and was prepared to bring comfort to the daily lives of citizens weary from the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.
The performance, hosted by Siheung City and organized by Emotionwave Arts, was initially demonstrated as an unattended performance at Sosan Seowon within the city to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
'Korean Traditional Music Mechatronics' boasts a rich repertoire. In particular, it will feature 6 pieces created with RIMA artificial intelligence technology and 'Pansori Sonata' by pianist and composer Park Jong-hoon, presented through a combination of the RIMA artificial intelligence piano, vocalist Ahn Yi-ho, and *haegum* player Lee Seung-hee.
