Emotionwave Showcases 'MEW DRUM' at APEC-Linked Exhibition at Incheon Airport

The Incheon International Airport K-Culture Museum, where Korea makes its first impression, has become an arena for advanced artistic technology.

At the special exhibition 'The OULIM,' running for a month from October 29th in conjunction with the APEC (Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation) event, domestic AI music technology is captivating the eyes and ears of global travelers.

At the center is 'MEW DRUM,' an artificial intelligence (AI)-based rhythm learning solution presented by Emotionwave (CEO Rio Jang).

'Mew Drum' is a new concept educational platform that allows users to learn drumming as if playing a game by linking a tablet PC app and an electronic drum. When the user plays the drums, the AI analyzes the accuracy and timing of the rhythm in real-time and provides immediate feedback. Its characteristic feature is that it is designed so that anyone can easily and enjoyably improve their sense of rhythm, regardless of age, playing skill, or physical condition.

Thanks to this scalability, 'Mew Drum' has already garnered attention from domestic and international educational institutions and platform companies as next-generation music education technology.

Emotionwave is focusing on building a new ecosystem where art and technology are combined, centered around the 'MEW' music education platform series, integrating AI-based instruments, virtual instructor solutions, and even XR (Extended Reality) performance technology.

This Incheon Airport exhibition is a signal to fully reveal their technological capabilities on the world stage. An Emotionwave official emphasized that "immersive content combining AI technology and human creativity will open a new paradigm for global music education," adding that they plan to "steadily promote the globalization of K-Music technology using this APEC-linked exhibition as a stepping stone."
