Emotionwave, an AI media specialist company (CEO Rio Jang), announced that it will officially enter the edutech market by launching its metaverse education platform ‘MEW’ this November. The platform, MEW, developed for the innovative improvement of non-face-to-face life and educational environments normalized due to COVID-19, provides customized services based on big data and AI through digital apps and web software, including ▲AI video and music curation service ▲playful learning service based on quizzes, games, and rewards ▲music sharing service, etc.
MEW is scheduled to be provided as a subscription service, and it plans to accumulate a portion of the platform subscription fee into a fund for arts education and operate art education and mentoring programs for low-income students so that subscribers can contribute to the popularization of culture.
Emotionwave stated, “We plan to sequentially launch the ‘MEW App’ for using the MEW platform and ‘MEW Music Place,’ an integrated solution for music businesses, and ‘MEW AI Piano’ for remote learning, connecting them to build a metaverse education system linked online and offline.”
MEW Music Place is an offline educational culture space where Emotionwave's edutech technology is concentrated, providing various contents based on MEW's online service platform to support user learning. MEW AI Piano is capable of self-study and remote learning based on AI performance, equipped with software based on the MEW platform, and pre-orders are scheduled to begin from November.
Emotionwave's CEO Rio Jang stated, "Although various non-face-to-face education systems have emerged due to COVID-19, the metaverse is the most optimized environment for non-face-to-face education," adding that they will actively target both domestic and international edutech markets with an online/offline linked metaverse education platform implemented with advanced ICT technologies such as AI, big data, 5G, AR, and VR.
