Emotionwave will hold the 'Muta Festival (MUTA FESTIVAL),' which features digital musicians who will be active in the metaverse and K-pop artists and influencers, this September.
At this Muta Festival, where 1 million people online and 800,000 people offline meet by the end of the year, you can meet artists who cross between reality and virtual worlds in real time, from K-pop artists to digital human musicians, through various platforms and channels such as MUTA XR.
In particular, the Muta Festival is composed of metaverse performance content where you can enjoy performances by several K-pop artists appearing with volumetric AR, connected to each artist's musical color in a metaverse signature stage, and a program to discover the main digital musicians who will be active in the metaverse space.
Emotionwave has previously presented AR concerts linked to actual offline spaces using volumetric technology, AI music, and robotics in 2020. In 2021, it showcased a metaverse concert that combined digital twin technology between virtual and offline venues with 'Hanul,' the world's first AI pianist, and has since performed various unique concerts and exhibitions at MICE industries and BTC conferences.
As such, there are diverse and rich programs prepared until the end of the year, including on/offline mixed K-pop metaverse music concerts linked to local festivals and large retail spaces, and the world's first digital twin type metaverse classical concert, as part of a project to discover metaverse musicians who will be active in the metaverse.
In particular, for the project to discover metaverse musicians sought by major entertainment planning companies, participants can receive global K-pop debut opportunities, as well as an NFT worth a total of 100 million KRW and a digital human for the winners. This digital human is intended to be the main character for album activities, release opportunities, and performances and broadcast activities that traverse virtual and real worlds.
Various artists, such as 'Hyojin Choi' from 'Street Woman Fighter' (SWF) and vocalist 'Park Wan-kyu' from Boohwal, are preparing performances in the metaverse for the K-pop metaverse music concert, planning to connect the experience of a maximized music metaverse festival with local citizens. Furthermore, in October, they will present a digital twin concert connecting a metaverse space and an actual performance hall for classical and tango concerts. In particular, Hyojin Choi is a representative Korean dancer who gained great popularity after appearing in 'Street Woman Fighter,' a survival program themed on dance in 2021, where she received much attention as the team leader.
Park Sung-hyun, Director and General Producer of Emotionwave MUTA Festival, stated, "The Muta Festival will be a festival that connects many elements such as content, user experience, and experience by linking real spaces and virtual ones using Emotionwave's own metaverse technology and artificial intelligence technology, and it will become a regularly held event." Information about the Muta Festival and participation details will be disclosed on the Emotionwave website on August 15th.
