Emotionwave, an educational technology company specializing in Artificial Intelligence (AI) based music edutech, recently conducted a non-face-to-face invited lecture at Ewha Womans University on the topic of 'Music Education Utilizing AI and Metaverse Technology,' receiving high praise from participants on the 3rd.
This special lecture, held for current and pre-service music teachers majoring in music education at Ewha Womans University Graduate School of Education, was designed to help participants understand and practice how AI and the metaverse can be applied to the field of music and music education now that overall education operations have become non-face-to-face since COVID.
The most notable part of this lecture was the metaverse-based AI music education platform, 'MEW (뮤)'.
MEW is a platform developed to revolutionize both contactless daily life and online/offline educational environments. It supports music education and learning in non-face-to-face settings by providing customized educational services based on big data and AI through digital apps and web software.

MEW is a platform that considers the characteristics of music education, where interaction between students and teachers, and learners and instructors, is important, such as theory, appreciation, singing, and ensemble playing. Emotionwave has built an integrated online/offline metaverse education system by linking the 'MEW APP' for utilizing this platform, the 'MEW AI Piano' supporting remote learning, and the 'MEW Music Place', which is an offline music education space.
Through building this integrated online/offline metaverse education system, MEW provides comprehensive learning services and full-cycle solutions for music education, including 'Remote Education using the MEW AI Platform,' 'Music Education using the MEW AI Piano,' and 'MEW Metaverse Music Education' utilizing VR devices.
MEW Metaverse Music Education provides musical activities that students usually have difficulty experiencing due to physical or resource limitations by visualizing them as immersive content for pre-education.
