An event to confirm the future of artificial intelligence was held in Gwangju. The global AI conference 'AICON : artificial intelligence congress', which runs from December 16th to 18th, opened its ceremony on the 16th at the Kim Dae-jung Convention Center in Gwangju. This conference is hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT (hereinafter MSIT), the National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA), and the City of Gwangju, and managed by the Artificial Intelligence Industry Convergence Business Unit.
Recently, the MSIT announced and confirmed the 'AI Regional Diffusion Promotion Direction,' which aims to advance the Honam region, including Gwangju Metropolitan City, as a national AI innovation hub. The City of Gwangju has commenced construction on an AI industry convergence cluster (AI Cluster) that includes the nation's largest and highest-performance national AI data center, and operates an AI demonstration center equipped with advanced facilities for the automotive and healthcare sectors.

Emotionwave is a company that creates various content through artificial intelligence. The Perfect Musician they showcased is a system where an AI instrument plays music when playing a rhythm game. When the game starts, the AI applied to the instruments installed nearby performs music in time with the beat. Because it is not a recorded sound, players can enjoy the game while feeling the presence of the instrument.
Yoo Bo-yoon, an attendee experiencing the game, said, "Because the instrument was playing next to me, I could feel the sense of presence better, and I could concentrate on the game well."
