It was announced on the 24th that Emotionwave Co., Ltd., an artificial intelligence music content company (CEO Jang Soon-chul), and Samik Musical Instrument Co., Ltd., the largest comprehensive musical instrument manufacturer in Korea (CEO Lee Hyung-guk), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to vitalize mutual cooperation regarding business exchange and joint projects.
Emotionwave is a company that developed 'RIMA,' an artificial intelligence robot technology combining artificial intelligence technology and robotics control technology, by learning the characteristics of music by genre and performer from over 100,000 songs using machine learning and deep learning technologies since 2017, and develops various content and services based on it.
In 2020, it launched 'RIMA PUBLIC,' the industry's first artificial intelligence concert service, and began full-scale expansion in the music market by successfully operating it at 'Future Show 2020.' Samik Musical Instrument is Korea's largest instrument company that manufactures and distributes various instruments such as pianos and guitars.
Jang Soon-chul, CEO of Emotionwave Co., Ltd., said, "We plan to provide a music source data service that leads the market by diversifying music content and pioneering new avenues in the instrument market through our company's music AI technology and big data, together with Samik Musical Instrument."
Kim Sung-il, Managing Director of Samik Musical Instrument Co., Ltd., said, "Through this agreement, we plan to enter a new market by closely coordinating and cooperating in various fields, such as advancing the technology and jointly developing data for automatic playing pianos and other instrument groups using artificial intelligence technology, and co-planning and creating collaboration models for 'RIMA PUBLIC,' a space platform business."
