Emotionwave, which is attempting innovation in the digital content market by fusing Metaverse and AI (Artificial Intelligence) technology with art, is strengthening its global business capabilities based on its unique technological prowess.
According to industry sources on the 9th, Emotionwave has completed a mock technology assessment for KOSDAQ special listing through the '2024 Blockchain/Information Security Technology Special Listing Consulting Project' conducted by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA).
A special listing is a system that supports promising technology companies with excellent technological capabilities to list on KOSDAQ through evaluation by external verification institutions. It grants eligibility so that if a technology company secures a certain grade or higher through an evaluation by a technology assessment institution, it can apply for preliminary listing review.
In the mock technology assessment, which was conducted similarly to the actual process, Emotionwave received excellent evaluations in areas such as management expertise, technological development achievements, product market size, and growth prospects. It is also known that the company received high scores particularly in areas like technological differentiation and expandability, level of technical knowledge, marketing, and capital raising ability.
Building on the results of the mock technology assessment, Emotionwave plans to fully proceed with its Initial Public Offering (IPO) for KOSDAQ listing, while also accelerating its entry into global markets.
Rio Jang, CEO of Emotionwave, said, “Although the investment market is difficult overall, including for technology companies like ours, we will further strengthen our technological capabilities by expanding into global entertainment and AI markets through overseas expansion to secure technical patents for research and development (R&D), market expansion, and super-gap technologies, establishing a leading position in the global entertainment and AI market.”
Since last year, Emotionwave has been laying the foundation for entering the global market by signing major MOUs (Memorandums of Understanding) and contracts.
Previously, Emotionwave signed MOUs with the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce in New York and the KCC Korean Association Hall in New Jersey, and successfully concluded a license agreement for RIMA concert zone business in the New York area with Rill Studio.
Emotionwave explained, “By signing (MOUs and contracts), we have laid the groundwork to expand our platform lineup into the global market and established a stepping stone for continuous growth through strengthening North American and global partnerships,” adding that this is an “important achievement demonstrating the possibility of localizing AI-based music platforms, immersive music experiences, and ultra-low latency technology.”
Emotionwave plans to participate in 'NAMM SHOW 2025,' which will be held at the Anaheim Convention Center in California, USA, from the 21st to the 25th, and showcase various innovative technologies and solutions under the theme of 'Innovating the North American Instrument Market through AIoT.' 'NAMM SHOW 2025' is the largest music and instrument exhibition in the US, attracting over 110,000 visitors and approximately 7,000 global companies every year.
At this exhibition, Emotionwave plans to reveal technologies specialized in convenience and connectivity by supporting digital and analog instruments through mobile on-device AI technology without attached devices. Furthermore, it is expected that they will also showcase performance data cloudification technology, which enables musicians' data management and personalized analysis and feedback.
Previously, Emotionwave introduced 'Cross Dataset Stem Augmentation' and 'Intra-Stem Augmentation' technologies to enhance data accuracy, and through these, it has solved problems such as integrating various music datasets and data imbalance.
Additionally, by utilizing real-time data augmentation techniques that leverage pitch changes in audio sources, they have strengthened the universality and accuracy of AI models, and significantly improved data processing efficiency by converting music data into single and multi-track scores using 'YourMT3+' technology.
In addition, Emotionwave is also developing an AI-based dance audition evaluation system targeting the global K-pop audition market this year. The company plans to secure global competitiveness by proceeding with audition projects in the form of a Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO), thereby enhancing objectivity and reliability.

Establishing such a global business strategy was possible due to the differentiated technology held by Emotionwave.
Emotionwave currently provides services such as 'MUTA', a virtual music, broadcasting, and concert production platform; 'AIMPLE', a metaverse NFT entertainment platform; 'RIMA', a smart object music intelligence platform; 'MEW', a metaverse AI music education platform; and 'IT SERVICES', which develops WEB/APP solutions related to media live streaming broadcasting and performances.
MUTA is a service where users can engage in metaverse broadcasting and music activities with virtual avatars. It can broadcast or perform live concerts by utilizing its self-developed virtual avatar live streaming technology.
The AIMPLE service is an NFT-based metaverse digital agency connecting the virtual and real worlds, allowing for the creation of virtual avatars and the release of digital albums through AI performance. Furthermore, it provides a web3 environment with virtual humans and composition tools to enable ultra-low latency, high-quality broadcasting.
RIMA, a future-oriented AI music service, is establishing itself as a super-gap media platform with expandability in areas such as composition, arrangement, performance, games, and digital humans by integrating AI music technology and music performance robot technology.
Through these services, Emotionwave has held over 500 on and offline performances and released 40 AI albums. The cumulative number of visitors has exceeded 10 million people, and 50 web/app services have been developed.
Moreover, the company is strengthening its technological competitiveness by acquiring numerous domestic and international patents, including an AI music/sound recommendation system, speaker devices for AI composition/performance, and non-contact performance systems utilizing AIoT technology.
