Emotionwave (CEO Rio Jang) participated in CES 2024, held in Las Vegas, USA, from Tuesday, January 9th to Friday, January 12th.
Emotionwave, an AI-based metaverse specialist company, has been creating a new culture where anyone can easily enjoy creative activities under the slogan of 'Convergence of Art and Technology' since its establishment in 2013. The company possesses various metaverse-related technologies, such as AI music technology, media live streaming technology, music performance robotics technology, virtual human creation technology, virtual performance production technology, and blockchain and NFT technology, and provides various metaverse services based on these, including developing metaverse platforms and creating content.
Its representative services include the AIoT music platform 'RIMA', the media live streaming platform 'VISCOOP', the digital human blockchain agency platform 'AIMPLE', the metaverse AI music education platform 'MEW', and the metaverse music platform ‘MUTA’. In addition, it provides services such as web/app service planning and development, and software development for music and performances.
At this exhibition, the company actively introduced AIMPLE 2.0, an upgraded version of AIMPLE 1.0 showcased at CES 2022, and its StageCloud service launching in June.
AIMPLE is an entertainment service that supports the creation of digital humans with desired appearances using generative AI technology so that anyone can act as a virtual human. It also supports the release of AI albums based on generated digital human IPs, video content creation, and online/offline activities. Through Aimple Studio, a Web3 virtual broadcasting program, users can be active as virtual models, virtual influencers, virtual YouTubers, or virtual musicians, and it even supports revenue generation by allowing created AI albums and video content to be issued and traded as NFTs on its self-developed NFT marketplace.
Additionally, StageCloud allows users to experience the freedom of various musical creations. In the user's personal studio, all necessary instruments and tools are provided, and it can be community-shared across various genres such as hip-hop, ballads, and orchestras. It was particularly noted for its ability to create music with global creators by utilizing an AI prompt interface technology that makes any musical idea realizable.
StageCloud provides core experiences and interfaces for K-POP auditions in a metaverse environment, allowing users to experience realistic auditions in a virtual space. Furthermore, the platform's strength lies in providing an environment where users can experience the entire process from music creation to challenging as a musician within the metaverse. It also presents a new business strategy that connects K-POP musicians and aspiring artists into a mentor-mentee relationship, allowing them to grow and debut as artists. Moreover, customers have the opportunity to directly participate in the growth and success of the artists through a DAO-based voting system and grow alongside them.
In addition to this, StageCloud provides an online and offline digital twin program linked with various existing offline auditions and K-POP festivals, and Emotionwave plans to support virtual YouTuber auditions by linking with its 'AIMPLE' digital human studio.
Emotionwave stated, "Our AIMPLE digital human solution has already signed MOUs with overseas companies such as Cakap, an Indonesian online education company, and Soonentity, a global TikTok MCN company, to provide metaverse content based on digital humans and digital human IPs." They added, "At CES this time, we had many meetings with game-related companies regarding our new solution applying LLMs related to digital humans, which was a good business opportunity in the global market."
Meanwhile, 'CES,' hosted by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA) of the United States, is an exhibition where one can grasp the flow of innovative technologies from around the world. It is held every January in Las Vegas, USA. AVING News, which has covered CES for 18 consecutive years, has reported on global CES news every year since 2006 and has conducted 'BEST OF CES' and 'BEST OF MADE IN KOREA,' selecting the best innovative products, companies, and technologies. Additionally, it delivers vivid on-site issues from CES through 'AVING LIVE.'
The Seoul Pavilion at CES 2024 operated at its largest scale in terms of exhibition area, number of participating companies, and number of participating supporters since Seoul City's first participation in CES in 2020. The Seoul Pavilion, which involves collaboration from 13 institutions, is an important step in Seoul City's effort to make Seoul a hub for startups, evidenced by 17 companies among the participants receiving innovation awards.
