Emotionwave Co., Ltd. (CEO Rio Jang), a metaverse and AI (Artificial Intelligence) music company, will host 'Muta Festival,' the world's first on/offline mixed music metaverse festival, connecting it with various offline and retail spaces such as Starfield and Hyundai Department Store at SK Telecom's 'ifland.'
This Muta Festival, running from September to the end of the year, will showcase real-time broadcasts and events featuring digital humans linked to offline and retail spaces through ifland, as well as discovering musicians for the metaverse and digital twin concerts.
It is scheduled to be presented through the artists' performances and dances created with volumetric AR technology within a metaverse signature stage connected to each artist's musical color.
In particular, starting on September 16th at 6 PM, various artists including Hyojin Choi, Park Wan-kyu, and Jin Seon are preparing performances in the metaverse.
This Muta Festival has various programs prepared until the end of the year, combined with local offline festivals, such as the 'Metaverse Musician Discovery Project' to find musicians for the metaverse, 'Metaverse Music Concerts' linked to regional festivals, and the world's first digital twin-type metaverse classical concert.
An official from Emotionwave said, "The Muta Festival will be a festival that connects many elements such as content, user experience, and experience by combining Emotionwave's own metaverse technology and artificial intelligence technology with the real space and virtual space, and it will be regularly held."
Since 2020, Emotionwave has held AR concerts linked to actual offline spaces, focusing on volumetric technology, AI music, and robot technology. In the second half of 2021, they also presented metaverse concerts that combined digital twin technology between a VR virtual concert hall space and an offline concert hall, showcasing various concerts by integrating artificial intelligence, Internet of Things (IoT), and immersive media technology.
