Emotionwave Launches 'MuLearn,' Korea's First Non-Face-to-Face Immersive VR Music Education Platform — image 1
On the 2nd, Emotionwave Co., Ltd., a company specializing in professional artificial intelligence music education services, announced that it will launch 'MuLearn' for teachers and students in public and national schools for the first time in Korea in the second half of the year.
MuLearn is a non-face-to-face Telepresence education platform developed by intensively strengthening appreciation, performance, and vocalization functions for both learners and educators who are experiencing difficulties in online public education music classes due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Learners and educators can receive two-way performance and exchange feedback through their personal PCs with a VR headset and an artificial intelligence instrument.
Telepresence is a technology that simulates people located far away as if they were in the same space, such as Home-to-School and School-to-Home. It can be seen as a convergent education system for the post-COVID era New Normal.
AI instruments consist of pianos and other instruments, such as drums and marimbas, that play automatically based on deep learning, and the original technology for this has already been recognized at SXSW 2019 and CES 2020 with proprietary technology developed by Emotionwave.
It is expected to have excellent effects in music and arts education by applying technology that plays or reproduces actual instruments, going beyond the limitations of video-based learning found in existing VR/AR and online non-face-to-face education systems.
This service has loaded textbooks for all grades (elementary, middle, and high school) music subjects, as well as a vast and diverse range of musical materials including 2,000 classical music pieces, 50 terabytes of Korean traditional music videos in the cloud, and 50,000 songs from general public and international music. Furthermore, it emphasizes content diversity and essential functions for remote education, such as the RIMA AI teacher function and enhanced digital content accessibility.
For solving issues like normalizing public education and educational inequality, the universalization of practical, performance-based music education is essential, and Mureon appears to be the starting point for this change.
Mureon plans to be revealed as a non-face-to-face solution platform that covers the entire process of public and university education through cooperation with various educational institutions.
