Emotionwave, an AI-based music and media tech company, announced that it signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with global content producer PH E&M at 'K-Expo UAE 2025' held in Dubai on the 18th.
K-Expo UAE 2025 is the Middle East's first large-scale Hallyu content expo, jointly hosted by five Korean ministries and eight organizations, with participation from approximately 160 companies. It is a global event expecting 75,000 visitors and around $700 million in export consultations.
Through this agreement, Emotionwave announced plans to supply an AI agentic media productivity solution in the form of SaaS that can be utilized across various stages of the media production process, such as K-culture based drama production, short-form video, and OST/BGM creation. The goal is to enhance the production efficiency of domestic and international media productions and technically support the overseas expansion of K-content.
Based on this agreement, the two companies decided to cooperate in various areas, including ▲joint content development for the global market, ▲IP creation specialized for Southeast Asia and Latin America, ▲commercialization of AI-based performances and virtual concerts, and ▲technology and IP licensing, by combining Emotionwave's core technologies such as AI Music Agent, Digital Human, and AI Performance System with PH E&M's global production infrastructure and artist network.
In particular, the AI agentic solution provided by Emotionwave aims for tangible improvement in the actual production process, including mass automation of content creation, music/sound effect generation based on storyboards, and utilization of virtual characters, making it expected to be immediately applicable to PH E&M's existing production pipeline.
Rio Jang, CEO of Emotionwave, said, “It is very meaningful that we are announcing a partnership with PH E&M to open the future of AI and the content industry on the global stage in Dubai,” adding, “AI-based media automation technology is rapidly innovating the global content production environment, and this collaboration will be an opportunity to further strengthen the global competitiveness of Korean content.”
Park Byung-gun, CEO of PH E&M, emphasized, “The cooperation between our two companies will be a significant turning point in creating a new value chain through the convergence of AI and K-content,” adding, “Through this partnership, we will establish an efficient and differentiated content supply base in the global market.”
