Emotionwave to hold 'Classical Mechatronica' on November 4th... Presenting various repertoires that blend with the collaboration of AI digital human 'Jinseon' and the performance of an artificial intelligence piano. It is scheduled to present a unique and groundbreaking attempt where technology and music art genres are converged.On-site audience members will enjoy a collaboration with the screen's AI digital human 'Jinseon(photo)', who appears through volumetric technology, alongside performances of classical, tango, and OST pieces.
Emotionwave (CEO Rio Jang), a company specializing in Metaverse and AI music, will present 'Classical Mechatronica' on November 4th at Stage66 Performance Hall, combining AI music technology with performance robotics technology, volumetric technology, and digital twin technology, centered around the performance music of bandoneonist Jinseon.
This performance is an AI Metaverse Concert titled 'Classical Mechatronica,' held as part of the 2022 Convergence Content Demonstration Support Project sponsored by the Korea Creative Content Agency (Director Jo Hyun-rae, hereinafter KCCA). The Convergence Content Demonstration Support Project develops and supports content that leads the convergence of art and technology. This performance will showcase virtual humans and spaces, stage technologies linked with digital twin technology, expressed through AI music technology, performance robotics technology, volumetric, and XR technologies, in a real-time live performance.
'Classical Mechatronica,' presented this time, is scheduled to feature 'Jinseon,' who is active as a bandoneon performer and composer. He will participate as music director and producer, presenting music representative of classical, movie OST, and tango genres, centered on the 'bandoneon'—an instrument central to the tango genre—along with violin, viola, cello, and piano.
In particular, the audience at Stage66 will present a variety of repertoires that harmonize with classical, tango, and OST performances on stage, along with the digital human 'Jinseon' appearing on the screen using volumetric technology, as well as performances from an artificial intelligence piano. They plan to showcase a unique and groundbreaking attempt where technology and music art genres are fused.
Meanwhile, 'Classic Mechatronica,' which began with Jazz Mechatronica in 2017, followed by Visual Mechatronica in 2018, Gugak Mechatronica in 2020, and Space Mechatronica in 2021, will operate as one of the programs within the 'MUTA FESTIVAL' program for this fifth series. Furthermore, it is planned that the performance can be enjoyed in real-time on SK Telecom's ifland metaverse platform.
