OTAC (One-Time Authentication Code), presented by Sensstone, is a one-time use primary authentication code for users. Unlike OTP, which is used as a supplementary measure (secondary authentication), it can be used for primary authentication because user identification is possible. Even if the code is leaked, it cannot be reused. Receiving global patents is also thanks to this level of technology.
It is used for Toss Bank authentication in Korea and is scheduled to be applied to military Milpass. A pilot project will begin at some units this month. It is expected to be widely used where authentication is necessary, such as for military personnel's leave or outings.
Kim Moon-dong, Director of Sensstone, said that "OTAC is a service gaining attention not only in Korea but also in global markets like UK card companies and EuroPass."
