At CES 2020, the world's largest home appliance expo, which kicked off on January 7 (US local time) in Las Vegas, USA, RIMA (hereinafter referred to as RIMA) concluded successfully with great interest on the 10th.
Lima is a consumer-friendly innovative service that can provide unmanned ensemble services in the performance and sound interior field by applying music information learned through artificial intelligence deep learning to actual instruments.

This device, called AutoStick or AI Drum Actuator Module, is a highly intelligent hardware capable of drum strokes at a level of BPM 190 and applicable to most rhythms, increasing the sense of presence for performance viewers and providing maximum stage effect.
Furthermore, the stick attached to the device uses a standard 5A size, making it very convenient to replace, and since it can be easily connected via Bluetooth 4.0 and USB, there is no significant gap in usability compared to existing electronic products, allowing anyone to use it easily and quickly.
The 12-channel multi-engine, called the Interface, is an artificial intelligence engine that processes MIDI signals from a computer to control the emphasis and speed of auto sticks, designed as a one-set multi-channel system to enable complex ensemble performances, which is a characteristic feature of RIMA. After connecting the auto sticks installed on the drum rim to the channel box of the interface and then connecting this channel box to a computer, all preparations for using the RIMA service are complete.
The RIMA service is a new concept service that allows users to 'receive' ensemble performances in various genres, which is simple and vivid even offline. It is the world's first ensemble provision service with no precedent domestically or internationally. In addition to the AI drum actuator module for RIMA exhibited at CES, the instruments capable of ensemble performance are very diverse, including piano, guitar, marimba, bass, percussion, etc., and consultation and quotation from experts are available according to the user's situation, usable area, desired genre, or atmosphere.
The richness and excellence of content are also advantages of RIMA's service. In addition to over 30,000 popular music data tracks, they have developed an AI creation database of over 100,000 songs and 100 types of genre-specific data queries to enhance the quality of the service, and plan to establish themselves as a superior world's first performance service that combines fun and emotion by supplying repertoire diversity through original compositions.
Meanwhile, RIMA has already been recognized for its rich content by providing performances in genres such as jazz, classical, and K-pop with various themes at locations including Intel, Pangyo Techno Valley, Korea Creative Content Agency, Changwon City Hall, and Siheung City Hall within the country. Since CES 2020, RIMA has solidified its value as a unmanned ensemble service domestically and is focusing on global service launches.
Due to the global Hallyu wave, the active promotion of AI music business by major domestic entertainment companies, the release of new products and services related to artificial intelligence music by large global corporations, and the favorable response from RIMA's accumulated audience, the AI performance service is expected to become a high-quality service necessary for anyone who needs high-quality music.
