Rio Jang, CEO of Emotionwave Co., Ltd., emphasized at the GArtience 2024 Connecting Week held at Daejeon Convention Center (DCC) on the 2nd that the convergence of technology and art is expanding the boundaries of creation and opening new possibilities for emotional connection, introducing Emotionwave's innovative vision and global journey leading this way.

The GArtience 2024 Connecting Week was a global event hosted by the GArtience Organizing Committee and KAIST, and sponsored by various organizations including the Korea Tourism Organization, WipNews, and WipSquare. With the theme 'Global Tech-Art Revolution: Convergence of Science and Technology with Art,' it was attended by over 2,000 people, including scientists, cultural artists, and industry experts.

At this event, CEO Jang presented the achievements and application cases of platforms developed by Emotionwave, such as the RIMA AI engine and MUTA Bandmaster, focusing on AI, robotics, extended reality (XR), and immersive technologies. He explained that these platforms maximize the role of technology in the creative process, opening new possibilities for creation and emotional transmission in digital spaces, exemplified by AIMPLE's virtual artist 'ROA'.

In particular, the AI orchestra and robot performers introduced in the presentation provided an immersive creative experience to the audience through real-time interactive performances, and he emphasized that extended reality technology is redefining the role of art by transforming the audience from mere passive participants into active creators.

Separately, an Emotionwave official revealed that the company has established a global distribution lineup worth approximately 10 billion won and a research and development partnership pipeline through its major overseas activities in 2024. Based on these achievements, Emotionwave plans to expand its emotion-based artificial intelligence technology from existing media entertainment fields to healthcare and deep tech R&D fields, where there is high global demand, starting in 2025.

CEO Jang presented his future vision, stating, "The convergence of technology and art is a powerful tool that can enrich human experience and contribute to building a sustainable future," adding that "Emotionwave will strive to further spread emotion-centric AI technology."
