On October 1st, they integrated AIoT technology and virtual humans for the first time in Korea. They presented AI-created music to listeners based on listener stories during Gyeongin Broadcasting iFM's popular program, 'Always a Good Day! With Ryu Si-hyun.'
This marks the first case in broadcasting where core technologies from 'K-Digital Stage,' a digital twin entertainment theater platform fusing AI, IoT, 5G, XR, and music performance robotics technology, were applied to radio broadcasting. It is also the first time that a broadcasting station has used AIoT technology and virtual humans (digital musicians) for listener interaction during a live broadcast in Korea.
AI music created by 'ROA,' a digital metaverse musician whose core is RIMA Artificial Intelligence Band, an AIoT platform called K-Digital Stage, was also used on the radio signal. This technology was possible because of Emotionwave, a specialized company for metaverse artificial intelligence media. Currently, they are also conducting the intelligent IoT application diffusion project with Gyeongin Broadcasting and the National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA) under the Ministry of Science and ICT.
Rio Jang, CEO of Emotionwave, said, "AI music technology and virtual humans have very high media usability, low risk burden, and excellent expandability to the metaverse, which companies naturally prefer." He added, "Not only can listeners receive musical gifts, but they can also own them, release albums, communicate with their fans, and eventually expand the platform into the metaverse for application in broadcasting."
