The artificial intelligence (AI) and Web3.0 specialized company Emotionwave (CEO Rio Jang) announced on the 13th that it has completed a mock technology evaluation for KOSDAQ technology special listing through the '2024 Blockchain/Information Security Technology Special Listing Consulting Project' conducted by the Ministry of Science and ICT and Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA).
Previously, Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA) promoted the '2024 Blockchain/Information Security Technology Special Listing Consulting Project' targeting one blockchain company and one information security company with excellent technology.
A technology special listing is a system that supports promising technology companies with outstanding technological capabilities to list on KOSDAQ through evaluation by external verification institutions.
It grants the qualification to apply for preliminary listing review if a technology company secures an appropriate grade or higher through evaluations from technology evaluation institutions. To receive this qualification, it is necessary to secure an A grade and BBB grade or higher from two institutions designated by the Korea Exchange.
Emotionwave was selected for the project that selects one blockchain company and underwent a mock listing evaluation simulating real conditions. The technology evaluation consisted of assessment items such as ▲Technology Development Performance ▲Intellectual Property Rights ▲Technology Certification and Development Research Organization ▲Business Plan ▲Technological Feasibility ▲Market and Business Feasibility.
Emotionwave received an evaluation of 'very excellent' regarding the expertise of its management, its technology development achievements, the market size and growth prospects of its products. Furthermore, it received good evaluations for technological differentiation and scalability, technology knowledge level, and marketing and capital raising capabilities.
Emotionwave provides 'AIMPLE,' a service that offers virtual humans and copyright tools in a web3 environment to enable ultra-low latency, high-quality broadcasting, along with 'MUTA,' a music web3 platform.
It possesses super-gap media platform technology with scalability centered on the AI music technology 'RIMA,' which is applied widely not only in the music market but also in various real industries, including music composition and arrangement, performance, games, and digital humans.
Building on the results of this mock technology evaluation, Emotionwave plans to challenge for an Initial Public Offering (IPO) for KOSDAQ listing through strengthening its technology and selecting a main sponsor.
Rio Jang, CEO of Emotionwave, said, "Through this consultation from the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA), we were evaluated as meeting the minimum requirements for technological special listing by being recognized with a BBB grade and 'very excellent' (TI-2) technology grade." He added, "Despite the overall difficult investment market situation, not only our company but also other technology companies will strengthen their capabilities through overseas expansion to secure patents for R&D, market expansion, and super-gap technologies, establishing a leading position in the global entertainment and AI markets."
