Full-scale development of humanoid applying emotional AI... Leading the global market with next-generation technology

Emotionwave announced on the 9th that it has been finally selected as a new participating company in the national advanced strategic technology project 'K-Humanoid Alliance,' which is hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology.
The 'K-Humanoid Alliance' is a national advanced strategic technology project launched last April with the goal of realizing South Korea as the world leader in humanoids by 2030. It jointly promotes five major tasks, including developing an AI foundation model that serves as the brain for humanoid robots, advancing core components, and building cooperation systems between supply and demand companies.
With this participation, Emotionwave will serve as an AI core technology partner by applying its emotional artificial intelligence architecture to various application fields such as humanoid robots and AI glasses.
The company operates a fully local processing AIoT edge computing system in various areas, including about 50 complex cultural spaces, education, healthcare, vehicles, call centers, and media entertainment across the country, based on its self-developed ultra-lightweight and high-speed on-device processing AIoT system model.
This is evaluated as a competitiveness that can be immediately applied to application fields such as next-generation humanoid robots and AI glasses by minimizing network dependency while maximizing real-time processing performance.
Furthermore, Emotionwave has also succeeded in developing ultra-realistic emotional digital human agents that apply know-how accumulated in digital human technology, featuring sub-200ms ultra-low latency responsiveness, real-time facial expression and voice analysis/synthesis, eye tracking, and electromyography-based bio-signal modules.
Through this, the company is showcasing innovative technologies that overcome the limitations of robot-human interaction.
The company obtained a technology evaluation that met listing requirements in last year's 'KOSDAQ Technology Special Listing Mock Evaluation,' and proved its global technological capabilities by securing an intention to export technology licensing worth approximately $12.4 million in overseas markets such as the United States, Spain, and Singapore, while achieving actual export results of $300,000.
An official from Emotionwave said, “Based on our innovative philosophy that fuses technology and art, we will contribute to achieving the national strategic goals aimed for by the K-Humanoid Alliance,” adding, “In particular, we plan to establish ourselves as a global leading company in various humanoid application fields by developing an integrated (All-in-One) actuator and drive system equipped with emotional artificial intelligence.”
