Emotionwave announced on the 10th that it has signed an Initial Public Offering (IPO) underwriting agreement with Samsung Securities. The company is pursuing a listing on the KOSDAQ market in 2027.
With the signing of this agreement, Emotionwave is fully entering the preparation process for listing. As the IPO underwriter, Samsung Securities will be responsible for overall tasks related to the listing. Emotionwave plans to proceed with procedures such as submitting necessary documents, public disclosures, and investor information sessions (IR) required during the listing process.
Established in 2013, Emotionwave is an AI media company whose core technologies are physical AI and Emotional AI. The company is developing and operating an AI Suite composed of four major product lines, including RIMA, MUTA, AIMPLE, and MEW.
These products include generative physical AI that understands and reproduces human physical performances such as musical instrument playing and creation; a multimodal content generation and cross-modal conversion platform for music, video, images, etc.; and an emotional artificial intelligence agent that understands human emotions and creative intentions and interacts with them. Through this, it supports creators and users in experiencing new content creation and educational environments.
Emotionwave has secured orders totaling $20 million from 13 countries, including the United States, Japan, China, Singapore, and Hong Kong. It is also expanding strategic partnerships with global companies and possesses a technology competitive edge with over 31 patents and trademarks in areas such as AI music technology and digital human generation. The company has built its business foundation through global revenue growth based on technology, rather than relying on large external investments.
Emotionwave plans to use the funds secured through this KOSDAQ listing to focus on technological advancement and global business expansion. Samsung Securities evaluated that "Emotionwave's technology possesses structural competitiveness that is difficult to reverse engineer, and in a situation where integrated AI solutions are absent in the current market, the company's platform model can be an alternative that meets market demands."
Rio Jang, CEO of Emotionwave, said, “We are building a next-generation AI platform that combines physical AI and emotional artificial intelligence technology,” adding, “We will grow into a global AI company with the goal of listing on KOSDAQ in the first half of 2027 through systematic IPO preparations with Samsung Securities.”
