Emotionwave announced on the 26th that it will unveil AI video content of Mr. Kim Gu, restored with its own AI technology, at the Baekbeom Music Festival.
The Baekbeom Music Festival will be held at a special stage in Gwanghwamun Square to commemorate the 150th anniversary of Mr. Kim Gu's birth as designated by UNESCO. Famous artists such as So Chan-hwi will participate and share the power of culture and the value of peace, emphasized by Mr. Kim Gu, through music with citizens.
Emotionwave restored the appearance of Mr. Kim Gu in a digital environment using its own AI technology 'AIMPLE'. Based on the restored image, video content was produced and screened at the event site.
The AI reproduced Mr. Kim Gu's appearance based on existing photographs and historical materials. The focus was not just on simple image restoration but on conveying Mr. Kim Gu's historical significance and cultural message through modern video.
This project is significant in that it connected a historical figure with today's citizens by applying generative AI technology to actual cultural event content.
